Jocelyn Bauer

Associate Principal (Madrid)

Currently based in Madrid, Jocelyn leads core advisory and development projects for the firm. Since joining Seneca Group in 2016, she’s managed a portfolio of large-scale, complex developments for notable enterprise clients while providing a full complement of services from real estate delivery process consulting to purchase and lease transactions, due diligence, and strategic portfolio planning. She brings deep expertise in delivering complex work in new markets and consistently applies global best practices to guide successful outcomes.

Jocelyn is skilled at shaping overall project strategy, coordinating multi-layered client relationships, and leading sophisticated stakeholder engagement efforts. Her expertise also includes navigating planning and entitlements processes, overseeing design management, guiding team selection and onboarding, and aligning project work with broader public policy and public relations considerations.

At Seneca Group, Jocelyn has been instrumental in delivering multiple high-profile tenant improvement and adaptive reuse projects. Notably, she led the transformation of Amazon’s historic NYC office— “Hank”—into a vibrant tech hub in midtown Manhattan in the historic Lord & Taylor building. Her 20+ years of expertise in preserving historic fabric while delivering modern performance has made her a go to expert—she is regularly sought out by the media for commentary on adaptive reuse initiatives. Her work with Amazon extends back to the Seattle campus, where Seneca Group supported over 20M SF of new and renovated spaces beginning in 2006.

Prior to Seneca Group, Jocelyn worked at a Seattle architecture firm where she designed and managed a wide range of projects — from tenant improvements, building envelope remediations, seismic upgrades, and shell and core renovations with historic preservation components.

She is a licensed architect (Washington State) and holds a B.A. in Architecture from Miami University of Ohio. Jocelyn also actively participates with AIA and serves on the Real Estate Advisory Committee for Historic Seattle.
