Our Seneca Group DC team celebrated the last day of this record-breaking heat wave by sweating it out for a good cause at the DC Central Kitchen.
Founded in 1989, DC Central Kitchen has consistently been on the front lines battling food insecurity in our community. In 2023, they moved to DC’s new Buzzard Point development, enjoying a street level presence with high ceilings, ample daylight, colorful branding, and energetic tunes pumped through the speakers. This environment invigorates volunteers and instills pride in the service being provided.
During those two hours, we worked together with colleagues and community volunteers with the singular goal of packaging fresh, nourishing food for community clients. An afternoon well spent, topped off by a waterfront happy hour to celebrate our growing DC team!
