About

Ian is a strategic project leader with more than 24 years of experience guiding complex urban developments from early planning through construction. Known for his expertise in entitlements, stakeholder coordination, and navigating municipal processes, he has successfully delivered large-scale projects across both the public and private sectors.

Since joining Seneca Group, Ian has played a key role in some of the region’s most significant urban development projects. He currently leads a 1.5 million-square-foot mixed-use development in downtown Bellevue for Amazon, overseeing land use approvals, permitting, design, and construction. He has also contributed to the development of more than 4 million square feet of Class A office and retail space as part of Amazon’s HQ1 program in downtown Seattle and previously managed tenant improvement projects supporting Amazon’s continued growth in the region. His experience on projects such as Block 21/Nitro and Bellevue 600 reflects deep expertise in entitlements, municipal coordination, and large-scale project execution.

Prior to joining Seneca Group, Ian spent 11 years with Heery International overseeing the delivery of public school capital projects. This experience provided a strong foundation in institutional project management, public-sector stakeholder engagement, and complex capital program delivery.

With academic training in both architecture and construction management, Ian brings a unique ability to bridge design, development, and execution. He is also an active civic leader, serving as Treasurer on both the Seattle 2030 District and the Bellevue 2030 District with the goal of reducing emissions in the built environment. Ian is also engaged with the Bellevue Downtown Association.

Ian holds a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from Columbia University and a Masters of Science in Construction Management from University of Washington.
