“As part of our community engagement commitment, some of our Seattle team spent the morning with our Amazon GREF colleagues at Camp Kilworth working at the annual NAIOP Community Engagement project. The centerpiece of the Camp, a rustic lodge, was built in 1935 by World War 1 veterans, and the historic site was once owned by the Boy Scouts of America. Today, the Camp is run by the YMCA of Greater Seattle. The rehab we did in clearing out overgrown brush, building and repairing various trails and site structures (including the historic amphitheater) around the property helps prepare the area for youth camps, environmental education, and community open space.”
