Fred Hutch sought to create a new center of campus that would strengthen collaboration between research and clinical programs while supporting the next generation of precision oncology research. As the institution’s first significant campus development in more than two decades, the project needed to accommodate highly specialized laboratory environments while integrating new infrastructure with an active research campus.

We provided development management for the planned Stuart and Molly Sloan Precision Oncology Institute, leading entitlements, design management, project coordination, and early implementation planning through schematic design. Working alongside Perkins&Will, the broader consultant team, and Fred Hutch leadership, we guided planning for an eight-story research facility that would consolidate laboratories, offices, conference spaces, shared resources, and campus amenities into a new hub for scientific collaboration. The project also incorporated significant campus infrastructure upgrades designed to improve utility redundancy, operational resilience, and long-term sustainability.
