About
Zach is a seasoned Development Manager with more than 15 years of experience spanning civil engineering, site development, mass timber construction, and end-to-end development management. He specializes in technically complex projects that require deep infrastructure knowledge, strong program leadership, and rigorous problem-solving from early planning through construction.
Since joining Seneca Group in 2021, Zach has led project delivery for corporate technology clients, with a focus on Meta Reality Labs, confidential R&D labs, and advanced manufacturing facilities. His portfolio includes workplace, laboratory, prototype manufacturing, mission-critical, and technical support environments where infrastructure, operational requirements, and execution strategy are critical to success. He also played a key role in the Spring District, leading predevelopment efforts for Meta’s Block 7 redevelopment. Drawing on experience across engineering, construction, and owner’s representation, Zach helps clients evaluate risk, align stakeholders, and make informed decisions throughout the project lifecycle.
Prior to joining Seneca Group, Zach held multiple leadership roles at Katerra, including Director of Civil Engineering and Mass Timber Program Manager. He led and expanded the firm’s site development practice, overseeing more than 20 projects nationwide before transitioning to mass timber R&D programs and major projects, including a 100K SF vertical expansion in Washington, DC and the first mass timber building on UW’s campus, the 85K SF Founders Hall. Earlier in his career, he worked as a civil engineer at Magnusson Klemencic Associates supporting high profile urban infill project entitlement and delivery in downtown Seattle.
Zach holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering from University of Washington.
