Over the past decade, Lakeside School sought to maintain a long-term campus vision while adapting to changing enrollment trends, educational priorities, program growth, and financial realities. The school needed a flexible framework that could guide future investments, respond to evolving needs, and address campus constraints including infrastructure capacity, parking, circulation, geotechnical conditions, permitting requirements, community considerations, and opportunities for future expansion. Balancing immediate priorities with long-term stewardship required a planning approach that could evolve alongside the institution.

We partnered with Lakeside School, its Board of Trustees, leadership team, faculty, staff, and design consultants to guide the development of both the 2016 and 2025 Campus Master Plans. Acting as a strategic advisor and process leader, we facilitated stakeholder alignment, coordinated planning efforts, managed schedules and decision-making, and helped translate institutional priorities into actionable campus strategies. Together, we evaluated multiple development scenarios, assessed infrastructure and operational impacts, established implementation priorities, and created phased roadmaps that balanced growth, budget, site constraints, and long-term flexibility.
