Elaine Wine was a 2x guest tour guide of HQ2 during AIA24’s Conference 6/5 – 6/8 in DC. One of her project partners, ZGF, developed this brochure highlighting Amazon’s second HQ in Crystal City, VA. The brochure showcases the key design goals – developing an open neighborhood campus that served both employees and community AND uphold Amazon’s Climate Pledge commitment to meet net-zero carbon by 2040 and 100% renewable energy use by 2030. Inside this brochure, you will find stories and context around designing and developing the 2.5-acre public park, two 22-story buildings with over 2M SF of office space, and 50K SF of retail with a publicly accessible lobby prioritizing small, female- and minority-owned businesses, art installations and neighborhood connections.
