Shaffer is a licensed architect and development manager specializing in hospitality, mixed-use, and luxury residential projects, known for delivering design-driven, high-impact developments for both institutional and emerging clients. Shaffer joined Seneca Group in 2021, where he is currently supporting a confidential client and contributing to luxury residential development projects. He brings a multidisciplinary background that bridges architecture and project management, enabling him to align design intent with execution strategy across complex real estate initiatives.

Prior to Seneca Group, Shaffer served as a Project Manager at JLL, working primarily with technology companies and startups, where he led projects requiring agility, scalability, and stakeholder alignment. Earlier in his career, he practiced as an architect with MG2, contributing to a wide range of large-scale hospitality and mixed-use developments, including the Hyatt Regency Lake Washington—recognized with the NAIOP Hospitality Development of the Year Award.

Shaffer’s core areas of expertise include hospitality, mixed-use, office, retail, and luxury residential projects. He is a LEED Green Associate and actively contributes to the built environment as Chairman of the Redmond, Washington Design Review Board, where he helps guide design quality and urban development standards.

Shaffer holds a Master of Architecture from the University of Oregon and a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Washington .
