Darrin is Director, Cost Management at Seneca Group with more than 30 years of experience helping owners plan, evaluate, and deliver complex capital projects. He specializes in strategic cost planning, project controls, forecasting, value engineering, and financial risk management, providing clients with the insight needed to make informed investment decisions throughout the development lifecycle. Known for his analytical approach and collaborative leadership style, Darrin partners with executive teams, development managers, designers, and contractors to improve cost certainty, manage project risk, and maximize value.
Prior to joining Seneca Group, Darrin served as Vice President of Capital Project Controls at Alterra Mountain Company, where he led project controls and capital forecasting across a portfolio of 19 mountain resorts, Before Alterra, he was Project Cost Control Principal at Vulcan and spent nearly 18 years leading project cost controls for Vulcan Real Estate and Estate Services. During his tenure, he managed developments for Amazon, Meta, Google, MoPOP, Cinerama, the Seattle Seahawks, the Portland Trail Blazers, and numerous luxury residential clients.
Earlier in his career, Darrin led project controls for multiple Amgen capital programs, overseeing office, laboratory, manufacturing, and research facilities. He also served as a Senior Associate with Davis Langdon/AECOM, where he provided cost planning, estimating, and value engineering services for major healthcare, cultural, higher education, and civic projects. His experience across owners, consultants, and contractors provides a comprehensive perspective that strengthens project planning, financial management, and delivery.
Darrin holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Quantity Surveying from the Queensland University of Technology in Australia and completed Value Methodology training in Value Management, Analysis, and Engineering through SAVE International.
