Seneca Group, a premier real estate advisory and development management firm, has merged with Cumming Group, the largest pure-play project management and cost consultancy in North America. Founded in 1992 and headquartered in Seattle with additional offices in Nashville and Washington, D.C., Seneca Group has guided marquee clients through complex projects across the corporate, healthcare, cultural, and education sectors.

The merger brings more than 70 Seneca Group professionals into Cumming Group, expanding the Pacific Northwest team to nearly 230 members and increasing Cumming Group’s team member count to 2,850. This enhanced regional and international presence strengthens Cumming Group’s ability to serve blue-chip clients with deeper local expertise, backed by the firm’s full suite of project management, cost consulting, and advisory services.

Under the continued leadership of Craig Parsons and Laura Lohman, the Seneca Group team will continue driving strategy and managing their operations within Cumming Group – ensuring a seamless transition while leveraging Cumming Group’s resources to enhance capabilities and expand reach.

“We are thrilled to welcome the Seneca Group team,” said Derek Hutchison, President and CEO of Cumming Group. “By combining their long-standing client relationships and reputation with Cumming Group, we are positioned to deliver greater value, broaden our reach, and reinforce our position as a preeminent provider of owner advisory services for complex, large-scale projects internationally.”

Craig Parsons, Managing Principal at Seneca Group, remarked, “This merger allows us to amplify our impact and collaborate on a broader scale through Cumming Group’s international platform.”

Laura Lohman, Managing Principal at Seneca Group, added, “By joining Cumming Group, we can promote our people, expertise, and proven leadership to more clients throughout the U.S. and internationally – while maintaining the values that have guided Seneca Group for over 30 years.”
