Seneca Group is proud to provide Project Management services for the ambitious renovation of Benaroya Hall, a cornerstone of Seattle’s cultural and civic life. This transformative project, designed by Mithun, reimagines Benaroya Hall’s public and gathering spaces to create a more welcoming, inclusive and engaging experience for all visitors.
Since opening in 1998, Benaroya Hall has long served as a home for world-class music and a gathering place for the Seattle community. The renovation, part of the Seattle Symphony’s Amplify campaign, will elevate Benaroya Hall’s public presence and hospitality with a thought blend of design, technology, and community-oriented enhancements.
The project includes:
- New digital signage, enhanced exterior entrances and upgraded lighting – all designed to boost visibility and invite pedestrians inside for vibrant performances.
- A new Welcome Desk and expanded Café in the Boeing Company Gallery
- A flexible Community Room for public programming and non-profit collaboration
- Upgrades to the Samuel & Althea Stroum Grand Lobby and Bill & Melinda Gates Lobby
- The creation of the Overlook Lounge, a new social space connecting key public areas
Throughout the process, Seneca Group has provided comprehensive project management services, guiding the predesign phase and ensuring alignment across a diverse set of stakeholders. Our role is to help realize the project’s vision while maintaining schedule, budget, and operational continuity – especially important as Benaroya Hall remains open to the public during early phases of construction.
We’re honored to support the Seattle Symphony and Benaroya Hall in their mission to create spaces that foster creativity, connection and civic pride. Construction is underway. We look forward to the transformation ahead and to help deliver a space that reflects and serves Seattle’s dynamic and diverse community.
