Challenge
Delivering an aviation facility required coordinating requirements across multiple regulatory agencies, each with its own permitting standards. The integration of fueling infrastructure, hangar operations, and administrative space introduced technical complexity. Site location within an active airport environment added constraints around access and sequencing. Aligning performance needs with architectural design intent further shaped the project.
Solution
We led development management and permitting strategy, coordinating approvals across KCIA, FAA, and multiple local jurisdictions. Our team guided the integration of the hangar, support building, and fueling systems to meet operational requirements. Design and construction efforts were aligned to balance functionality with a clean architectural expression. Close coordination across stakeholders ensured compliance while maintaining project momentum.
Outcome & Impact
The completed facility supports efficient aircraft operations with integrated fueling and maintenance capabilities. Hangar capacity and fueling systems enable simultaneous servicing of multiple aircraft. The building design delivers a refined and durable aesthetic suited to its aviation context. Our client received a high-performing facility that meets both operational and design objectives.
