ULI NEXT New York is a curated leadership and professional development program for mid-career real estate professionals spanning the full lifecycle of the built environment, making it an ideal forum for exploring the complexities of this landmark project.

Formerly the iconic Lord & Taylor flagship, Hank has been transformed into a modern, 550K SF workplace for Amazon through a thoughtful adaptive reuse strategy that balances historic preservation with contemporary office design, sustainability, and flexibility.

As owner’s representative and development manager, we guided the project from site selection through transition to operations, working closely with Amazon and the broader project team to navigate the technical, logistical, and design challenges inherent in repositioning a historic asset at this scale.

The tour offered an opportunity to share insights on adaptive reuse, collaboration, and leadership in complex urban development, and we were pleased to engage with such a dynamic group of emerging leaders in our industry.
